Language variations in media 1.3 Handout

Depending on the different media, there is a different language. In my conclusion, the spoken language has to attract people, so it would be more effective to increase the audience if they use the dialects.
We analyzed last week some of the examples used in class, and the most of the examples of the variation of the language are to make humour.
Also, the usage of dialects benefit the comunity who use them, this way the minority languages won't disappear.
The variations of the languages are easier to find on the TV. On the radio too, but is not so common. For example of the radio, I'll say that Gaztea uses the dialects to attract young people. But in the same way of television, when they have to speak about a new or something like that, they use the formal Basque. So my conclusion of all these variations is to make humour, or attract some kind of colective of the audience.
The examples we used in class, majority of them are to make humour; Kutsidazu bidea Ixabel, Wazemank, "Bienvenidos al norte"...
This is the trailer of the film Bienvenidos al norte, the french film which was one of the examples in class, but I'll put it translated to Spanish to see the difference better:
